Candice Olson, star of HGTV’s Divine Design and Candice Tells All, has introduced a new collection of decorative fabrics for Kravet. The collection engages the senses and offers precious silks, bold chenilles, dreamy sheers, rich textural bouclés, glazed linens and soft, rich cottons.

“Fabric is one of the most powerful tools a designer has for transforming a space,” says Olson. “Adding layers of similar colors yet contrasting textures will magically create depth, making your space more intimate and inviting.”

Olsen takes traditional design and stylizes it with a modern twist through materials, patterns and finishes. “We are instinctively drawn to patterns that mimic nature,” Olsen said. Her textiles show her color preferences inspired by nature and her Canadian roots. “I love the cool, fresh feeling of watery, wispy blues, greens and grays set off by the warm comfort of wood tones in a room.”

Olsen contrasts her contemporary and clean style with natural materials for warmth. The patterns are sculptural and seductive. Quiet color contrasts with bold texture.

Dramatic lighting is one of her signatures in design. She says, “It’s no secret that I love sparkling, reflective textures.”
