Holly Hunt was founded in 1984 in Chicago. The showroom offered different luxurious collections of home accessories, furniture, leather, lighting, rugs, and textiles. The company’s catalog featured contemporary items as well as more traditional ones like the brands Old World Weavers and Yale Burge. In 1992 Holly Hunt presents a line of textiles under the brand Great Plains and it also starts producing a small furniture collection. The brand starts collaborating with renowned designer lines like Christian Liaigre and Christian Astuguevieille. Throughout the years the brand has diversified its catalog to include more options for high-end interior decoration, like the first Alison Berger Glassworks collection that was launched in 1999. In 2001 the brand’s catalog feature John Hutton Furniture, and in 2002 the lighting fixtures of Kevin Reilly debut in Holly Hunt showrooms. Five years later, in 2007, the company introduces the new furniture collection Great Outdoors and its rugs collection called Beyond Borders. In 2010 Holly Hunt continues collaborating with talented designers from around the world like Christophe Pillet, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Stefan Gulassa, and Tristan Auer. In 2016 the company acquires the Classic Collection from Vladimir Kagan’s Design Group; the collection represents the ultimate in modern furniture design.
Holly Hunt Studio Furniture and Lighting Collections feature diverse styles such as eclecticism, minimalism, and a blend of modern and transitional reference. The design studio draws inspiration from diverse sources, from classic designs to modern art, emphasizing great care in details and proportions. The outdoors furniture line is crafted with aluminum frameworks that provide elegance and great durability.
Holly Hunt’s Beyond Borders rug collection offers in stock options and also a custom-made service. The in-house team of designers can assist customers throughout the whole production process, from the selection of colors and materials to the creation of a specific pattern according to the needs of the project. All rugs are handmade by a group of artisans in Nepal.
