Zimmer + Rohde is a family-run company founded in 1899 by Max Marx and Ernst Rohde in Frankfurt. The company started gathering high-quality fabrics from mills around Europe and then distributed among architects and interior designers. In 1919 Georg Zimmer joined the company and help establish international contacts that gave the company the means to resist an international financial crisis. During the post-war years, Zimmer + Rohde developed its characteristic style of timeless elegance and started implementing innovative production standards and techniques. For four generations it has provided high-end textiles made in Europe and distributed around the world in more than 50 countries.
The company’s design department finds and tries out the best materials from different mills to create innovative designs that can be used in commercial and residential interiors. Currently, the company has subsidiaries in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Milan, New York, and Paris. The portfolio feature products like accessories, fabrics, furniture, and wallcovering, under six distinct brands: Ardecora, Etamine, Hodsoll McKenzie, Travers, Warner Fabrics, and Zimmer + Rohde.
